Oasis of Hope is a registered Youth  organization (YO) established in 2015 and registered in 2017. Our main focus is to support community projects that empower women, youth and other vulnerable groups in our society so that we can collectively end extreme poverty, illiteracy and diseases through a more sustainable use of resources.

About Oasis of Hope

Who We Are

Objectives:

                                                 

  1. To provide the youth with the tools and economic standing they need to create a better future as they take active role in sustainable environmental and natural resources management

  2. To promote primary health care and support control of disease out breaks and pandemics

  3. To help communities and schools have access to safe water and promotion of sanitation and hygiene in both communities and schools.

  4. To reduce inequality that exists to deprive the poorest their rights to social, political and economic opportunities.

  5. To take deliberate effort to help children, women and youth and other marginalized individual access education and economic opportunities towards developmental improvements in a sustainable manner.

  6. To offer humanitarian and relief services to people and communities affected by disasters.

Environmental restoration in Mphompha area of Rumphi

Oasis of Hope

In 2018 Oasis of Hope Organization took part in environmental restoration program where 2000 trees were planted of which most of them were indigenous trees. 


The picture shows some pine trees growing healthy. The species is prioritized in the area because it is an economic specie and is favored by the environmental conditions of the area

Past Projects


  1. We received a grant support from EGP for the construction of the resource centre and sewing machines in Rumphi

  2. We also received grant support for livelihood project to empower women economically and to construct Karonga Women Rice Group warehouse and support women group with start-up capital.

  3. We receive grant support  for soap making from the Pollination Project in USA

  4. We are implementing Rumphi rural Palliative Care Services with support from African Palliative Care Association (APCA)

Livelihood project to empower women economically.

With support from Edinburgh Global Partnership (EGP), Oasis of Hope implemented a livelihood project that aimed at promotion the well being of women  and their household to be economically empowered so that they are able to meet their basic household needs including food security at household
